Biography
My name is Elie George Arslan, and I am 24 years old. I am a first generation American and my parents originated from the Middle East. My mother is from Mosul, a city in northern Iraq, and my father is from Mardin, a small town in Turkey. I was born in California in 1981 but I moved to Kuwait with my parents when I was two. I went to a British school of Kuwait and graduated in June 1998. Later that summer, I came to California and started my college. In June of 2004, I graduated, with Honors, with a B.S. in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry.
Currently, I am a Lead QA Technician for Gish Biomedical, Inc in Rancho Santa Margarita, southern California. In quality assurance, I test biomedical device samples for (LAL) endotoxin using a Pyros Kinetix program. As a microbiologist I perform monthly environmental testing and quarterly Bioburden testing for the company’s cardiovascular finished products.
I want to obtain an MBA in Global Management because my long-term goal is to either be a CEO in a global biomedical corporation or a biomedical sales manager or even a Regulatory Affairs director. An MBA in Global Management with some biological science background is suitable for the international biomedical sales career. I like to travel to different countries around the world especially to Europe and some parts of the Middle East. I have been to many cities in the US. I also visited England, France, Holland, Turkey, Bahrain, Iraq (before the war), and lived in Kuwait. I can speak/write English, Arabic, Turkish and some French.
Due to my full schedule, I chose University of Phoenix Online because it is more convenient, flexible and I can do my studying at any time.
